EarthSpirit is pleased to announce the CD re-release of This Winter's Night, the internationally-acclaimed recording by MotherTongue, EarthSpirit's ritual performance group. MotherTongue combines a 20-voice chorus, Celtic harp, keyboards, African drums, and Renaissance instruments to create a unique blend of ancient and modern music that evokes the vibrant, Earth-centered roots of the winter holidays.

This Winter's Night includes songs such as The Carol of the Bells, Oaken Logs, Ave Color Vini Clari, The Wintry Queen, Oidhche Mhaith Leibh, Light is Returning, Yule Carol, Winter Solstice Sunrise, Old Woman, The Fairest Maid, and Gaia Carry Us Home; instrumental pieces (The Shepherds' Dance, French Bransle, and The Abbots Bromley Horn Dance); a poem, This Longest Night; and The First Song, an original creation story.
